Road Closures for the 39th African Union Summit
Starting from Wednesday, February 11, 2026 (Yekatit 4, 2018 E.C.), the following routes will be completely closed to vehicles:
- From Bole International Airport to Bole Brass Road
- From Bole Medhanialem through Atlas to St. Urael Church
To ensure the summit proceeds without hurdles, the Task Force announced that at other major squares and escort routes where guests are staying, drivers should extend their usual positive cooperation by giving priority and obeying the orders of traffic police members; it also stated that parking vehicles in the specified locations for either a long or short period is prohibited.
