The Ethiopian Federal Police Commissioner General, and the current Chairperson of the EAPCCO, H.E. Demelash GebereMichael, has been awarded the Honorary Police Medal from the Government of Djibouti. The Djiboutian Prime Minister, Abdulkadir Kamil Mohammed, presented the award on behalf of President Ismael Omar Guelleh.

This recognition was given during the celebration of Police Day, marking the 46th anniversary, in appreciation of Commissioner General Demelash GebreMichael's contributions to maintaining peace and security along the Ethio-Djibouti border and combating transnational crimes. The award also acknowledges the strengthened police-to-police cooperation between the two nations and the entire region. Commissioner General expressed his gratitude for the award, stating that it not only recognizes his efforts but also those of the entire institution.
